Tropical Storm Mario forms off Mexico's Pacific coast

Tropical Storm Mario has formed off the Pacific coast of Mexico. Forecasters say it could bring wind, rain, and possible flash flooding. The National Hurricane Center described Mario as “mini,” but it still packs winds of 40 mph. A tropical storm watch was in effect Friday for parts of the Michoacan state. It spanned from Lazaro Cardenas to Punta San Telmo. The Miami-based weather service says Mario is centered about 40 miles south-southwest of Zihuatanejo and about 60 miles south-southeast of Lazaro Cardenas.
