BOK, Italian central bank sign MOU for IT, settlement system cooperation
The Bank of Korea (BOK) said Tuesday it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bank of Italy to cooperate on information technology and settlement systems.

Courtesy of Bank of Korea The Bank of Korea (BOK) said Tuesday it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bank of Italy to cooperate on information technology and settlement systems. Under the agreement, the two central banks will share their know — how on the real-time gross settlement system and central bank digital currency projects. The Bank of Italy is tasked with setting up the Target Instant Payment System (TIPS) for the European Central Bank and is involved in research for the European Union's CBDC, according to the BOK.
