Oyo to renovate 105 primary schools with $123.8m World Bank grant
Oyo State has been selected to benefit from a $123.8m grant from the World Bank Global Partnership for Education (GPE) to upgrade infrastructure in 105 primary schools. The project, known as All Additional Financing-Transforming Education System at States (BESDA AF-TEES), aims to improve basic education in the state. The grant will cover the renovation of three classrooms, procurement of new infrastructure, construction of toilets for males and females, installation of boreholes, and installation of solar power in each of the selected schools. The total amount allocated to Oyo State is approximately N4b.
